This plan, already approved by the Verkhovna Rada, provides, in particular, for lowering the age limit from 27 to 25 years. This will provide the army with about 140 thousand additional potential recruits.
President Zelensky, however, as the agency writes, allegedly demands a more developed project that would better meet the needs of a country exhausted by war and preparing for another difficult military winter.
In particular, as Bloomberg writes, the president wants to see what specific goals can be achieved by adopting this plan, how recruits will be distributed among military units, and how the rotation of military personnel who have fought at the front for 21 months will be organized.
