Russian security forces detained a resident of annexed Crimea for “spying on employees of the Russian Guard.”
The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation detained a resident of Crimea, who allegedly, on instructions from Ukrainian special services, monitored the movement of Russian Guard units and collected data on structures of defense on the peninsula. This was reported by RosSMI on Thursday, November 30.
“The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation detained an agent of the Ukrainian special services from the residents of Crimea on suspicion of committing espionage,” the FSB said in a statement.
It was noted that he “on the instructions of the enemy, monitored the movement of Russian Guard units, and also collected data on the system of engineering structures and obstacles intended for the defense of the peninsula.”
A criminal case has been opened and the investigation is ongoing.
