He played a major role in the foreign policy of the United States: he initiated the policy of détente in relations between the USA and the USSR, adjusted the beginning of US relations with the PRC, and also concluded the Paris Peace Agreement.

Former United States Secretary of State Henry Kissinger has died at the age of 100. The Washington Post reported this on Wednesday, November 29.

The politician’s death was reported by a consulting firm; the reason was not given. Kissinger died at his home in Connecticut on November 29.

The date and place of the farewell to the politician will also be known later.

Kissinger led American diplomacy from 1973 to 1977. Previously, he was the National Security Advisor to the President of the United States.

Kissinger was born on May 27, 1923 in Germany, in the city of Fuerth, in a religious Jewish family. In 1938, his family left Germany and came to the United States. There he received American citizenship in 1943.

He served in the US Army: first as a translator, and then transferred to the counterintelligence corps. In 1947 he entered Harvard University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in political science and later received a doctorate. From 1954 to 1969 he was a teacher at this educational institution.

Henry Kissinger led American diplomacy from 1973-1977. He is considered one of the most powerful US politicians. 1973 became a Nobel Prize laureate.

Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday, January 17, said that Ukraine should join NATO.

Let’s remember that at the end of May, Kissinger made an annoying statement about the need to hand over the Ukrainian territories to Russia in order to maintain close relations between Moscow and the West. His words were criticized by Western politicians and experts. More on this in the material Putin was surprised: reaction to Kissinger about Ukraine.

And in August, Kissinger said that Ukraine should be treated as a member of NATO.
