The Russian military uses the Black Sea to launch missiles and drones towards Ukraine.
Russia launched the frigate Admiral Makarov in the Black Sea, increasing the number of caliber launch vehicles to three units. This was said on Wednesday, November 29, in the Telegram of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine.
“The enemy has again strengthened the presence of missile carriers on duty in the Black Sea battle: the frigate Admiral Makarov has been added to two submarines,” the message said.
It was clarified that in total two submarines and one missile frigate can launch up to 16 Caliber cruise missiles, provided that all launchers are loaded with missiles.
The ROC Kalibr is a family of Russian cruise missiles designed to destroy ground targets. As a rule, ships carry them on the surface and under water.
Earlier, President Vladimir Zelensky said that Russia will not win the battle for the Black Sea. According to the head of state, Russia can no longer use the Black Sea as a springboard to destabilize other regions of the world.
