Frost victims were recorded in Odessa, Kharkov, Nikolaev regions and Kiev. Among the victims are two children. Headquarters for eliminating the consequences of bad weather operate at the state and regional levels. The State Emergency Service reported this on Telegram.
It is noted that in the Odessa region, rescuers were called in to help 254 times. 849 vehicles were towed, including 24 buses and 17 emergency vehicles. Rescuers provided assistance to 2,498 people, including 162 children. Five people in the region were killed and another 15 were injured.
And in the Nikolaev region, rescuers responded to calls 66 times and towed 144 cars. Traffic remains difficult on some sections of the road. Two people died in the Nikolaev region, two more were injured.
The State Emergency Service noted that eight roads in the Nikolaev and Kirovograd regions remain blocked for traffic. 411 settlements in 11 regions remain without electricity.
Let us recall that on November 27, President Vladimir Zelensky stated that in the Odessa region, five people became victims of bad weather, and another 19 people were injured.
