The press service of the Donetsk region police reported this today, November 27.
It is noted that the victim is a resident of the village of Novokalinovo, he found himself under the rubble as a result of a direct hit in the house.
The police received a message that there might be people under the ruins of the house from the head of the Ocheretinsk military administration.
In connection with active hostilities in this direction, the leadership of the Donbass police sent a request to the command of the 31st separate mechanized brigade to conduct search and rescue operations. Soldiers of the 52nd separate rifle battalion, subordinate to the 31st Separate Infantry Battalion, were immediately sent to the scene of the shelling, the police noted.
Arriving at the destroyed house, the military confirmed that there was indeed a living person under the rubble and, without wasting time, began to free the victim from the trap. The rescue operation was aggravated by shelling from the occupiers.
Risking their lives, the servicemen lifted the 44-year-old owner of the house from the rubble, who had been fighting for his life for more than 6 days. The rescued man reported that his 39-year-old brother was with him at the time of the shelling; he probably died, as he showed no signs of life. To continue search and rescue work in relation to another man, special equipment is needed, the message says.
The military took the victim out and handed him over to the White Angel police crew, which took the man to the hospital.
The victim receives the necessary treatment. The man, with tears in his eyes, recalls the horror he had to endure.
“I am very grateful to the guys who saved me,” he emphasized.
Donbass Police Chief Ruslan Osipenko personally thanked the military personnel and acknowledged them with gratitude. All rescue fighters are from the Ivano-Frankivsk region; they have been serving in the Donetsk region for more than a year.
