The 100 BMP Marder for Ukraine is being modernized in Germany

Some combat vehicles are ready for use and can be sent immediately to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the timing will be determined by the German government.

The German concern Rheinmetall is modernizing the 100 Marder infantry fighting vehicle, which was previously in service with the Bundeswehr, Armin Papperger, CEO of the concern, said in an interview with the newspaper Bild am Sonntag.

According to him, some infantry fighting vehicles are ready to use and can be sent immediately to Ukraine.

“When and where to deliver these Marders is a decision of the German government,” Papperger added.

At the same time, Rheinmetall is upgrading 88 Leopard 1 tanks and several Leopard 2 tanks.
