In light of the holiday of the aggressor country, the Latvian minister ironically greeted all the Russians.
Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edgars Rinkevics congratulated the citizens of the occupying country on the national holiday. In his greeting, he demanded that the Russian Federation be defeated in a comprehensive war against Ukraine.
“Today Russia celebrates Russia Day, I want to defeat you in the aggressive war against Ukraine, abandoning imperial ambitions and building a modern, democratic and legal state,” the Latvian minister wrote in his Twitter.

Earlier, the National Electronic Media Council of Latvia imposed a ban on the broadcasting of all TV channels from Russia that can still be watched on the territory of the country.
