On Sunday night, air defense units destroyed eight out of nine Iranian Shahed-131/136 drones launched by Russian aggressors. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on November 26.
It is indicated that the enemy attacked from the southeast direction – from Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Kranosdar region of the Russian Federation.
“As a result of combat operations, the air defense of the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed eight enemy Shahed-131/136 drones,” the statement said.
In this regard, the command of the Joint Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces clarified that mobile groups destroyed one attack drone in the sky of the Kiev region, two more in the direction of Sumy, one in the air of the region of Poltava.
And according to the head of Dnepropetrovsk OVA, Sergei Lysak, two UAVs were shot down at night in this region – in Novomoskovsky and Sinelnikovsky districts.
We remind you that last night the Russians attacked Ukraine with 75 kamikaze drones, which is a record number since the beginning of the war. The Air Force first reported the elimination of 71 drones, but then clarified that they shot down 74, that is, almost all UAVs.
It was reported that the main direction of the attack was Kyiv. According to KMVA, the air defense destroyed more than 40 air targets.
