Thomas Hand went to meet his 9-year-old daughter, who spent nearly 50 days in captivity, along with his dog.
On Saturday, November 25, 9-year-old Emily, whose father believed she had been killed, was released from Hamas captivity, CNN reports.
It was noted that the girl’s father, Thomas Hand, raised his daughter himself after the death of his wife. He was told that Emily had been killed in a Hamas attack on October 7, but she was among the Israeli captives released on Saturday night.
Thomas, with his dog, came to meet his daughter, who spent almost 50 days in captivity, on the border between Israel and Egypt.
The girl’s father told reporters he was told Emily was dead. But weeks later, Israeli officials said they were not sure of the boy’s death because they found no body and no traces of blood in the house where he slept.
We remind you that the Israel Defense Forces reported tonight that in the second group of hostages, 13 Israelis and four Thai citizens were released. They underwent a basic medical examination, and a civilian was taken to the hospital. Others are on their way to hospitals where their families are waiting.
Note that Hamas militants began to release hostages during the peace talks with Israel. The first group was sent to a border checkpoint between the Gaza Strip and Egypt.
