Main overhead power lines and distribution lines of regional power companies in the central region were damaged. This means that the reliability of energy supply in the region is reduced. The National Energy Company Ukrenergo announced this on Facebook on November 25.
Repair crews have already begun emergency restoration work. During the period of network repairs, there may be restrictions on the supply of light in Kyiv and the region.
It takes time to eliminate the consequences of the attack; repair teams are doing everything possible to restore the reliability of power supply as soon as possible, Ukrenergo added and called on consumers to use electricity carefully.
DTEK energy workers reported that due to a massive attack, power supply disappeared in 16 thousand houses in the Kyiv region.
The Ministry of Energy clarified that 330 kV overhead lines were disconnected in the region. It is preliminary known that this happened as a result of shelling.
Let us recall that in September, the head of Ukrenergo, Vladimir Kudrytsky, stated that Ukrainian energy facilities received several types of protection on the eve of winter. And some types of protection will be used for the first time not only in Ukraine, but also in the world.
