Over the past year and a half, Moldova has joined four packages of sanctions imposed by the EU against Russia.
Russia is threatening Moldova in a response to its accession to a four-pack of European Union sanctions against Moscow. The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, said this on Friday, November 24.
At the same time, Zakharova accused Moldova of “hostile measures” and a “campaign against Russia” aimed at “complete destruction of Russia-Moldova relations.”
A representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the Moldovans “are very friendly to Russia and are interested in maintaining and developing multifaceted bilateral cooperation.”
“The decision of the Moldovan side will not remain unanswered. The steps taken will also be reported,” he said.
Moscow has blocked some Moldovan officials from entering the Russian Federation – this is the reaction of the Russian Federation to the blocking of Russian-language media sites in Moldova.
It was previously reported that Moldova will stop paying membership fees to the post-Soviet CIS as another step towards leaving this organization.
In Moldova, access to 22 Russian propaganda TV channels was blocked
