The head of the Pentagon noted that no weapon will be a “magic wand”; everything depends on the synchronization of all weapons.
Ukraine’s success in the war against Russia depends on how Kyiv uses and coordinates the weapons transferred by Western countries. United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced this in a briefing.
“In a conflict like this, no weapon can be a magic wand. Everything depends on the military capabilities provided and their integration (with existing weapons – Ed.), if we are talking about in F-16s, HIMARS or what. “In other words: everything depends on how you use these capabilities and synchronize them to achieve the desired effect on the battlefield,” said of the head of the Pentagon.
The United States expects Ukraine to continue pushing the Russians out of its territory over the winter, as President Vladimir Zelensky announced.
Austin noted that Ukrainian defenders are ready for the winter, and the United States continues to help with their preparations. In particular, the aid package includes winter equipment.
Ukraine has already caused serious damage to the invaders, and Russia will need a lot of time to recover, he said. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have already managed to recover 50% of the occupied territory and drive the Black Sea Fleet away from its shores.
“It’s been a tough, grueling battle, and it will continue to be so going forward,” Austin concluded.
As we wrote earlier, the US Department of Defense announced on its website that it will provide additional assistance to Ukraine in the field of security and defense. The latest military aid is the 51st “tranche” of equipment for Ukraine since August 2021.
