A Ukrainian citizen, recently detained by Polish police on suspicion of murdering his wife and two daughters, confessed his guilt during interrogation at the prosecutor’s office in Poznan. This was announced by Prosecutor Lukasz Wawrzyniak, Ukrinform reports.
“During the interrogation, the man admitted that he killed his wife and daughters. According to him, he did it on the night of November 13-14. His wife allegedly complained to him that he abused the alcohol, does not work and has debts, so he decided to kill him,” the prosecutor said.
According to the suspect, he strangled his wife, and later, when one of the daughters woke up, he decided to kill the children as well. After that, he was still in the same house for several days with the corpses of his murdered wife and children. On November 18, he turned himself in to the security of one of the shopping centers in Poznan and admitted that he had committed a crime.
According to the prosecutor, a proposal for temporary arrest for three months has been submitted to the court. The man faces up to life in prison. The case is under the control of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Wroclaw.

Earlier, Polish police detained a man who injured at least two people with a machete in the Warsaw region.
