The Institute for the Study of War collected evidence from both sides about Ukrainian operations on the occupied left bank of the Dnieper.
Ukrainian defenders are increasing their operations on the eastern (left) bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region. This is the conclusion reached by analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The report on Wednesday, November 15, said that Russian “military correspondents” said that Ukrainian forces launched an unsuccessful attack from the center of Krynok (30 km northeast of Kherson, 2 km from on the Dnieper River and about 3.6 km north of highway E- 58).
They also reported that Ukrainian forces were attacking near Poima (11 km east of Kherson and 4 km from the Dnieper River) and Peschanivka (15 km east of Kherson and 3 km from the Dnieper River).
In addition, these so-called military letters say that Russian troops prevented Ukrainian forces from evacuating the wounded and deploying additional personnel on the east bank near the Antonovsky highway bridge.
In turn, the head of the joint press center of the Operational Command South, Natalya Gumenyuk, said that the Ukrainian troops are pushing back the Russian forces at a distance of three to eight kilometers from the eastern bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region.
“The geographic extent of these reported efforts is much greater than open-source evidence currently suggests,” the review notes.
Experts indicate that Russian troops made a confirmed advance on Ukrainian-held territory on the east bank of the Kherson region amid ongoing operations against Ukrainian positions on the east bank on November 15.
Geolocation footage released on November 14 shows Russian troops advancing on Krynki.
At the same time, Russian “military correspondents” claimed that the invaders counter-attacked and forced Ukrainian troops to retreat from some areas south of Krynki, near the Cossack Camp (23 km north- east of Kherson and 2 km from the Dnieper), as well as near the Antonovsky Bridge.
However, analysts note, ISW cannot confirm these statements.
Ukrainian military observer Konstantin Mashovets said that Russian troops could develop a plan to eliminate Ukrainian positions on the east bank by forming three tactical groups.
According to him, Russian troops plan to use two groups to bypass the Oleshki-Novaya Kakhovka road and the Krynki area from Korsunka (45 km northeast of Kherson and 1 km from the Dnieper) and Cossack Camps, while the third group will attack south of Krynki and move north.

We remind you that on Wednesday the Ukrainian Armed Forces indicated “great victories” in the south and demanded silence of information.
