Spain is preparing a program to support family members of fallen Ukrainian soldiers. This is what the acting Minister of Defense of Spain, Margarita Robles, said. reported press service of the country’s Ministry of Defense on social network X on Tuesday, November 14.
At a meeting of European Union defense ministers in Brussels, Robles announced a program to support the families of fallen soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to him, this program will make it possible to invite relatives of deceased Ukrainian military personnel to vacation in Spain.
The main issue of the meeting was the EU’s military support for Ukraine, ammunition supply issues and proposals for the Ukraine Assistance Fund within the framework of the European Peace Fund.
The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, also addressed the defense ministers of the EU countries. According to the press service of the department, in a video message the minister thanked Ukraine for its systematic support and called for the acceleration of the provision of new aid.
“The continuation and acceleration of the provision of military-technical assistance by our partners allows us to plan and conduct not only defense, but also offensive. We will fight until we reach the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine,” Umerov said.
