Washington will continue to support Kyiv, said the representative of the American department, Matthew Miller.
The United States is looking for ways to protect Ukraine’s energy infrastructure from Russian attacks this winter. US State Department Speaker Matthew Miller said this in a briefing.
According to him, due to a possible Russian attack on Ukrainian energy facilities in the winter, the United States is discussing with the Ukrainian authorities measures to prepare for such situations.
“We will discuss Ukraine, the war in Ukraine and our options to improve the protection of its infrastructure. We are always looking for ways to help Ukraine ensure its security,” the American official said.
He added that in all conversations with representatives of the Ukrainian government, the State Department made it clear that Washington would continue to support Kyiv.
We remind you that the US State Department considers the decision of Congress to extend large-scale aid to Ukraine and Israel as an urgent need.
In addition, the State Department previously reported that the United States did not hold consultations with the Ukrainian side about the possible start of “peace negotiations” with the Russian occupiers.
