In Russia, after the departure of many foreign shoe brands, there was a rapid demand for felt boots. In recent months, their sales have increased by 373. This was reported on Monday, November 13 by Gazeta.Ru in connection with the state labeling system Honest Sign.
It was noted that retail stores became the main platform for selling felt boots, but demand also increased on online platforms – here sales increased by 43%.
The manufacture of felt boots is also growing. In the third quarter it increased by 62% compared to the second quarter.
As you know, after February 2022, hundreds of foreign brands closed their stores in Russia in response to the invasion of Ukraine. Among the manufacturers of shoes, clothes and accessories, it is produced by Adidas, Nike, Reebok, Decathlon, Puma, Levi’s, H&M, Zara, Pull& Bear, Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga and others.
Earlier it was reported that Russia launched the production of products from fly larvae, which, according to the authorities, should “strengthen the country’s food supply.”
