In the first half of November, Ankara bought more than 800 thousand tons of Urals oil, which is 200 thousand tons more than the same period in October.
In the first two weeks of November, Turkey bought a record amount of oil from Russia. Reuters reported this on Monday, November 13.
At the same time, oil purchases by other major consumers – India and China – according to traders, will remain at the same level, despite the reduction in planned volumes.
It is expected that the supply of Urals oil to Turkey in November will exceed 1.4 million tons, which will be a new record. According to LSEG, from November 1 to November 15, Turkey bought more than 800,000 tons of Urals oil, which is 200,000 tons more than the same period in October.
It was noted that Turkey has increased imports of Russian oil, as the largest oil refinery has entered into an agreement with Russian Lukoil for the long-term supply of Urals oil. The company plans to supply about 100,000 barrels per day in November, half of the plant’s capacity.
It was previously reported that oil and gas revenues of the Russian federal budget in October increased to 1.64 trillion rubles. This is 2.2 times higher than the previous month and is the highest monthly figure since April 2022.
We remind you that the EU has announced a new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, one of the points where the price limit on Russian oil should be strengthened.
