Netanyahu promised economic aid to the mayors of Gaza’s border towns to compensate for the damage caused by the October 7 attack.
The Israeli military will retain control of the Gaza Strip after the military operation in the enclave is completed, but there is no talk of international forces being stationed there. This is what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, reports The Times of Israel.
“IDF forces will remain in control of the strip, we will not hand it over to international forces,” he told a meeting with mayors of Gaza border towns.
The mayors told Netanyahu they wanted a different security reality after the war and urged him not to agree to a ceasefire until the last terrorist in Gaza was killed.
Netanyahu promised the mayors that the government would provide economic aid to Gaza’s border towns to compensate for the damage caused by the October 7 attack.
We remind you that the US authorities do not support a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, but they are in favor of humanitarian pauses.
