A restless night passed near the Russian city of Belgorod. This was stated in a statement by the Russian Ministry of Defense on Telegram on Sunday, November 12.
The agency of the aggressor country claimed that at night an attempt by Ukraine to carry out a “terrorist attack” of a type of UAV aircraft on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was allegedly stopped.
“The Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed by additional air defense systems on the territory of the Belgorod region,” assured the Ministry of Defense.
Local residents on social media had previously complained about the sounds of explosions and speculated that it might be “air defense work.”
