Metropolitan Evstratiy (Zarya) announced this on his Facebook page, citing material from the publication “Orthodox Ukraine”.
The court FINALLY confirmed what is already clear to everyone: the MP in Ukraine is part of the Russian Orthodox Church, and therefore should not hide under the name “UOC,” the Metropolitan emphasized.
The court praised the corresponding decision on November 2.
On November 2, 2023, the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal adopted a resolution in case No. 640/4748/19 (on renaming), which rejected a number of appeals from religious communities of the MP and left unchanged the decision of the court of first instance dated May 15, 2023 to dismiss the claim of the Kiev Metropolis of the UOC MP, the publication notes.
Information about this court decision has already been published in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
