As a result of a missile strike by Russian aggressors in the Zaporozhye region, 19 soldiers of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade were killed. The unit announced this on Facebook on Monday, November 6.
“The missile strike of the treacherous enemy took the lives of 19 soldiers of the 128th separate mountain assault Transcarpathian brigade. A thorough examination of all the circumstances of the tragedy is now underway… Our best soldiers died ,” the message said.
The brigade asked not to spread the unverified, partially fake information until the end of the inspection and vowed to “revenge our brothers 100 times over.”
On the evening of November 4, the media reported that more than 20 military personnel were killed in the Zaporozhye region. Soldiers may gather in one place for Missile Forces and Artillery Day honors.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces later confirmed that the Russians had fired a missile Iskander-M for the 128th brigade. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov ordered an investigation into the death of the defenders.
In turn, People’s Deputy Alexey Kucherenko said that 28 soldiers were killed in the 128th brigade.
