The upper part of the Askold rocket ship was noticeably damaged, but it remained afloat.
Journalists for the Scheme project published satellite images from Planet Labs, showing the site of a hit at a plant in Kerch and a warship that also appeared to be damaged. It was found out on Sunday, November 5.
“According to my information, on November 4, at the time of the explosions, there was only one ship in Kerch capable of carrying missiles of the Caliber class, it was Askold. I think this ship, as we see, is already at the pier and is being put in order, so that it can be handed over in December,” Andrei Ryzhenko, captain of the Navy’s 1st rank in reserve, told reporters.
He added that the upper part of the Askold was significantly damaged, but remained afloat. We are talking about a small rocket ship of Project 22800 Karakurt. It is capable of carrying up to 8 Caliber missiles. The defeat of such a ship is important for the security of Ukraine.
Let’s recall that on November 4, Ukrainian pilots carried out airstrikes on the infrastructure of the Zaliv shipyard in Kerch. The Russian ship was badly damaged.
Meanwhile, Russian public on social networks reported that we are talking about the small rocket ship Askold, which is preparing to become fully operational.
And the Russian Ministry of Defense admitted that as a result of being hit by an enemy cruise missile, a ship located at the plant “suffered damage.”
