The Finnish authorities have decided on a new package of military assistance to Ukraine. On Friday, June 10, the corresponding decision was approved by the country’s President Sauli Niiniste on the government proposal, the press service of Finland’s Ministry of Defense reported.
“Finland will not forget Ukraine and Ukrainians. We will continue our assistance: we will send a new package of defense equipment,” Defense Minister Antti Kaikkonen said.
He also noted that the Finnish authorities will not disclose information about the content, method of delivery and schedule of assistance. These measures will be followed to ensure the delivery of military aid to Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that Finland is against special conditions for Ukraine’s accession to the EU, but is not opposed to Kyiv receiving the status of a candidate.
