Some Czech companies have received specific proposals and are already implementing them, others are in the preparation stage.
Czech companies received the first orders related to the restoration of Ukraine. This was announced on Thursday, November 2, by the President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry Zdenko Zajiček, writes České noviny.
According to him, this is a new experience for many Czech businesses.
“So far, contracts have been concluded mainly with companies that do not yet have experience on the Ukrainian market,” the statement said.
It is noted that a number of businesses have begun to provide medical equipment or agricultural machinery in Ukraine.
Zajicek said that 103 Czech companies from various industries, mainly mining and processing, mechanical engineering, construction and energy, contacted the Chamber of Commerce and Industry with a request for cooperation with the Ukrainian side in rebuilding the country after the war.
“They are looking for contracts to update energy, transportation and water infrastructure, construction work and materials,” said the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Let’s remember that the minimum need for the restoration of Ukraine is estimated at $411 billion. This figure covers the period from February 24, 2022 to February 24, 2023 and only territories controlled by Ukraine.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) will allocate €450 million to Ukraine for two reconstruction projects.
