Two police officers were injured and hospitalized. The attacker was detained by law enforcement officers.
In Seoul, a knife-wielding man attacked two police officers on duty at the South Korean President’s office. Yonhap reported this on October 31.
It was noted that a 77-year-old man, walking in the building of the Ministry of Defense, where the office of the President of Korea is also located, began to shout, and then took out a knife and hit two policemen.
One of the officers was stabbed in the stomach, the second in the left arm. Both were taken to the hospital.
The attacker was detained. The investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement officials establish a motive for the crime and also evaluate whether the attacker is mentally ill.
It will be remembered that in July in the Chinese province of Guangdong, a man with a knife killed six people in a kindergarten, including three children.
