The enemy destroyed the equipment of the thermal power plant. Electricity and heat supply was cut off in one of the nearby communities.
Russian aggressors fired artillery at one of the thermal power plants (TPP) in eastern Ukraine. Ukrenergo reported this on Tuesday, October 31.
“Equipment was damaged, which caused the power and heat supply to be interrupted in one of the nearby communities. While the thermal power plant is operating, emergency restoration continues,” the message said.
Energy workers assured that despite the damage to the thermal power plant, enough electricity was produced to meet the needs of all consumers. There are no grounds for restrictions on the energy system unless there are new attacks.
Due to bad weather, a settlement and two transformer substations in Donetsk and Sumy regions were partially left without electricity. Repairs are ongoing there.
Due to the fighting and other reasons, 448 settlements remain without electricity. Due to the shelling, there is damage to the networks of regional power companies in Donetsk, Kharkov, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions. Emergency restoration work is carried out depending on the security situation and with the permission of the military.
Let’s remember that a week ago the Russians also destroyed a thermal power plant in eastern Ukraine. At that time, household and industrial consumers are de-energized.
