These exercises will last several weeks in Germany. The Ukrainians will learn from their German colleagues the experience of managing this air defense system.
On October 10, the German government announced a new large-scale future military aid package for Ukraine. To protect the critical infrastructure of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive additional air defense systems from Germany, namely the Patriot, IRIS-T and Gepard systems.
Ukraine received the first Patriot air defense system from Germany in April of this year. The transfer of the air defense system took place immediately after the completion of training for Ukrainian operators, who began mastering this system in early February.
Also in August, Germany transferred two additional Patriot launchers and anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine for this air defense system.
