Mike Pence did not get enough support among the Republicans and announced the end of the presidential campaign.
Potential Republican presidential candidate and former US Vice President Mike Pence has announced that he is withdrawing from the 2024 presidential campaign. He made this statement on October 28 at the Republican Jewish Coalition conference in Las Vegas, Bloomberg reports.
“We always knew it was going to be an uphill battle, but I have no regrets,” Pence said.
The BBC said he did not receive as many Republican popular votes as expected in the nomination race led by former President Donald Trump.
Let’s remember that in early June, Pence officially announced his participation in the presidential elections in 2024. And at the end of June, Pence came to Ukraine on an unannounced visit. He visited occupied Moshchun, Bucha and Irpen in the Kyiv region, where he spoke with local residents and laid flowers at memorials to those who died in the war.
