In the direction of Kherson, the fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting a counter-battery battle, causing heavy losses to the rear of the Russians.
The defenders of Ukraine are advancing in the direction of Melitopol, and in the direction of Kherson they are inflicting heavy losses on the rear of the Russian troops. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this in its morning report on Saturday, October 28.
It is known that in the past 24 hours, 60 military clashes have taken place. In total, Russian troops carried out eight missile and 15 air strikes, and fired 61 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and populated areas.
Air strikes received: Novomikhailovka, Donetsk region; Berislav, Veseloe, Kherson region. About 80 settlements in Sumy, Kharkov, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.
At the directions of Kupyansky and Limansky, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations (attacks) and continued to regroup troops.
In the direction of Bakhmut, Russian troops unsuccessfully tried to restore the lost position near Andreevka, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled five enemy attacks. The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue offensive operations in the south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, causing losses to the enemy in manpower and equipment, and consolidating their position on the achieved lines.
In the direction of Avdeevka, the invaders did not abandon their attempts to cordon off Avdeevka, but the Ukrainian military firmly held the defense, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy. Offensive actions of the enemy were unsuccessful in the areas of Stepnoy, Avdeevka, Pervomaisky, Donetsk region, where the defense forces repelled 15 attacks.
In the Maryinsky direction, the invaders carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Maryinka and Novomikhailovka, Donetsk region. Here, Ukrainian soldiers repelled more than 20 attacks.
In the Shakhtarsky direction, Ukrainian defenders repulsed all enemy attacks near Vodyanoye, Zolotaya Niva and Staromayorske, Donetsk region. In the direction of Zaporozhye, the enemy tried to restore the lost position in the north-west of Verbovoy, Zaporozhye region, but it did not succeed.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the direction of Melitopol, causing losses to the Russian troops in manpower and equipment, and depleting the enemy along the entire front line.
In the direction of Kherson, Ukrainian soldiers engaged in counter-battery fighting, causing heavy losses in the rear of the enemy.
During the day, Defense Forces aircraft carried out five strikes on areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated, and four more on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.
Missile force units hit four areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated, eight artillery assets, two ammunition depots, a TOS-1A Solntepek heavy flamethrower multiple rocket launcher system and three Russian air defense systems.
