The agreement, according to Guterres, includes access to world markets for Russian food and fertilizers.
The UN is working on an agreement that includes unblocking Ukrainian grain exports by sea, as well as access to global markets for Russian food and fertilizers. This was stated by UN Secretary General António Guterres, writes Deutsche welle.
“I commissioned the head of the UN Conference on Trade and Development, Rebecca Greenspan, and the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Martin Griffiths, to coordinate the work of the two task forces to help reach a package agreement that guarantees safe .exports of Ukrainian-made food through the Black Sea, as well as unrestricted access to world markets for Russian food and fertilizers, “Guterres said.
The UN Secretary -General said that representatives of Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, the EU and the US have been working closely on this issue over the past 10 days. At the same time, Guterres said he did not want to disclose the details of the deal in question, so as not to jeopardize the chances of success.
As reported, Turkish and Russian Foreign Ministers Mevlet Cavusoglu and Sergey Lavrov discussed the issue of unblocking Ukrainian ports and creating corridors in the Black Sea for grain exports.
“When and if Ukraine goes into demining and allows the removal of ships from its ports, we will not use this situation in favor of a special operation. These are guarantees of the President of Russia and we are ready to make it’s formal in one way or another, ”Lavrov said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine does not believe the statements of representatives of the leadership of the Russian Federation.
