Now, no more than four working days are given to conduct a medical examination on suitability for military service. Conducting laboratory tests should not take more than three working days; the same period is determined for conducting instrumental studies. The time frame for passing the VLK has been reduced in accordance with the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, which was put into effect by decree of the President of Ukraine. This was reported on October 27 by the Ministry of Health.
Regional military commissars and hospital workers have already been instructed to comply with the established deadlines. They must organize routes for passing the VLK. They are also responsible for ensuring that those liable for military service undergo medical examinations in line.
In addition, the military medical commission will be digitalized, and doctors will be able to use the electronic health system and view existing records.
The Ministry of Health added that it is now checking whether the decisions of the VLK regarding the establishment of disability, which were made after February 24, 2022, were justified.
Let us recall that on September 12, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky enacted the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the reform of military medical examinations in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
