Representatives of the Hamas movement do not have any official contact with the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov assured.
Russia considers it necessary to continue engagement with all parties to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. This statement was made by Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov on Friday, October 27, commenting on the visit of a delegation of the terrorist movement Hamas to Moscow.
“We consider it necessary to continue our contacts with all parties and, of course, we will continue our dialogue with Israel,” he told reporters.
Peskov emphasized that “in this case, these representatives do not have any Kremlin program, there are no contacts with the Kremlin.”
He was also asked if the Kremlin fears that this visit will lead to a deterioration of Russian-Israeli relations.
“In this case, I have nothing to add to what I said on this topic,” Peskov answered.
Let’s remember that on October 26, Russia became the first country in the world to start negotiations with Hamas terrorists. In this regard, the Israeli Foreign Ministry called this visit an “indecent step” and called on Moscow to immediately expel the Hamas delegation.
