The summit will take place this weekend, but China is not on the list of participants among 55 countries. The agency notes that this is a serious disappointment for Ukraine and Vladimir Zelensky, since China is one of the few countries that have real influence on Russia, Bloomberg writes.
Similar meetings have already been organized in Denmark and Saudi Arabia. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba called China’s participation in Jeddah a “super breakthrough.”
Among the participants in the meeting in Malta will be, in particular, the G7 countries, Qatar, South Africa, India, and Turkey. Some participants, like Brazil and Chile, will take part online.
The Peace Formula is an initiative of the President of Ukraine, the main idea of which is that the aggressor must withdraw troops from Ukraine.
