The head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces, Natalya Gumenyuk, told the telethon that the Russians launched kamikaze drones in two waves in the Nikolaev and Kherson regions.
“The enemy tested us again with drone attacks. Obviously, it is looking for new tactics,” he said.
According to him, the enemy attacked the southern regions twice. “Three drones were sent. That means six in total, and five of them were destroyed,” he added.
In particular, two enemy drones were destroyed in the Nikolaev region and three in the Kherson region. “Unfortunately, an infrastructure facility was hit. A fire broke out, but it was not critical, it was localized, and rescuers were working. The main thing is that people were not injured,” the spokesman said.
The head of the Nikolaev OVA Vitaly Kim reported on Telegram that the Russians attacked the area with Shahed-type attack drones, two of them were destroyed, but drone strikes were also recorded outside the city of Voznesensk.
“At night, from October 26 to 27, the Nikolayev region was subjected to an enemy attack by UAVs of the Shahed 131/136 type. Two of them were destroyed by air defense forces and means,” he wrote.
