World parliamentarians who took part in the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform on Tuesday, October 25, expressed their intention to further tighten sanctions against the Russian Federation. This was announced by the head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk.
According to him, this was discussed in the joint declaration of the participants.
“In the final document, the summit participants emphasized that the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders, including the deoccupation of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as ensuring the sovereignty of the state of Ukraine, is a fundamental requirement for ending the war and establishing lasting peace in the region,” said Stefanchuk.
In addition, in the declaration, the parliamentarians declared the legal annulment of the so-called “referendum” and “election” in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Politicians also condemned Russia’s withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative, systematic attacks on export infrastructure, threats to commercial shipping, as well as the blockade of Ukrainian ports that threaten the global food security.
At the same time, according to Stefanchuk, the summit participants expressed their intention to support the provision of political, diplomatic, military, security, financial, humanitarian and other assistance to Ukraine, as well as to provide Ukraine with all necessary assistance To achieve. In particular, the parliamentarians expressed in the declaration their intention to support the application and further strengthen the sanctions against the Russian Federation, take diplomatic, economic and other measures to put pressure on the Russian Federation, as well as to counter evasion of sanctions.
