The elevator shaft is the last memory of the life of an entire high-rise building in Mariupol.

A video of the ruins of a Ukrainian city on the Sea of Azov captured by Russian Nazis has been published online. All that was left of the house destroyed by the Russians was the elevator shaft.
One day such photos break through mental defenses. I don’t know whether it’s possible to hate Russians even more. All of them, absolutely all of them, must pay for all this. Without exceptions,” commented the advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, Pyotr Andryushchenko, on the published photo.
The main thing that Mariupol lost in a year was more than 25 thousand inhabitants. Andryushchenko previously wrote that the Russians kidnapped about 1.3 thousand children.
In Mariupol, at least 60% of high-rise buildings and at least 40% of private houses were destroyed. These are houses that cannot even be visually restored. In total, 90% of the entire housing stock has signs of being hit by shells of one type or another of artillery, and therefore the real percentage can be determined if you just look at them.
It is quite possible that the housing infrastructure that cannot be restored may be: up to 90% of high-rise buildings and up to 60% in the private sector. But these figures are approximate, the mayor’s adviser notes.
