The Israel Defense Forces removed the deputy chief of the Hamas artillery forces, Muhammad Qatmash, who is believed to have played a key role in the attacks on Israel, the IDF press service reports.
“IDF fighters killed Mohammed Qatmash, the deputy head of the Hamas artillery complex in the Gaza Strip, who was in charge of artillery operations in the Hamas Central Brigade in the Gaza Strip,” the report said.
It was previously reported that the United States and Israel are studying the possibility of creating an interim government in the Gaza Strip with the support of the UN and the involvement of Arab governments after the expulsion of the Hamas terrorist movement from the enclave.
