In Kyiv, a car driver ran over a soldier to death

The person involved in the accident lost control and drove into the far right lane, where he hit a 47-year-old serviceman.

The driver of a car at a checkpoint in Kyiv on the night of October 22 at about 00:30 ran into a serviceman. The latter died from injuries sustained as a result of the accident. Law enforcement officials detained the defendant and opened a case, Kyiv police reported.

According to preliminary data, the driver was moving along the M-01 highway in the direction of Brovarsky Prospekt in the second lane. In cloudy conditions, he saw a truck ahead and suddenly braked. He lost control and drove to the far right lane, where he ran over a 47-year-old serviceman at a checkpoint.

The victim died from his injuries at the scene.
