Western analysts suggest that the invaders may have made small gains in the rock dump northwest of the city.
Avdeevka (Donetsk region) is still in the spotlight today. Ukrainian forces repelled another offensive by Russian invaders in the past few days and inflicted heavy losses on the latter. This is stated in a report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The Ukrainian military noted that on October 21, the enemy slowed down the pace of offensive operations near the city. Russian military bloggers said that the invading Russian troops are gradually moving north of Avdeevka near the rock dump in the direction of the village of Berdich.
“Ukrainian and Russian sources have indicated that Russian forces made another offensive in Avdiivka between October 19 and 20, and geolocation footage released on October 21 confirms that Russian forces made of minor gains in the northwest of Avdiivka in the area of the rock dump,” – analysts said.
We remind you that the spokesman of the Defense Forces of the Tauride direction, Alexander Shtupun, said that the activity of Russian troops in the Avdeevsky direction has somewhat decreased, but the enemy continues to advance.
As you know, on October 19, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny visited Avdeevka in the Donetsk region and in the direction of Kupyansk in the Kharkov region, where the Russian invaders intensified and performing offensive operations.
