The situation on the battlefield could change dramatically once Ukraine receives the F-16 fighters. The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexey Danilov stated this in an interview with Kyodo News.
He expressed confidence that the situation will dramatically change after the arrival of F-16 fighters from the West to strengthen the Ukrainian air defense. At the same time, Danilov admitted that it is difficult to predict the time required for the de-occupation of the entire territory of Ukraine.
“As long as Russia continues to occupy the territory, including Crimea, no one can discuss any negotiations,” Danilov said.
We remind you that three countries have already agreed to provide F-16s for Ukraine. At the same time, the coalition of fighters includes more than a dozen countries.
The US Air Force believes that training Ukrainian pilots to fly American F-16 fighters could take from three to nine months.
