The UN documented attacks targeting civilian targets: residential buildings, a train station, shops, and a train for civilian use.
A United Nations commission of inquiry has found further evidence of Russian military aggression and war crimes in Ukraine, including cases of rape, as well as the deportation of children to Russia. The UN reported it.
“The commission found new evidence that the Russian authorities violated international human rights and international humanitarian law, and also committed related crimes in territories under their control in Ukraine,” the report said.
We are talking about the criminal attacks in the cities of Uman and Kherson. The UN has documented these attacks, they concern civilian objects – residential buildings, a train station, shops, warehouses for the needs of the civilian population.
Cases of rape “using force or psychological coercion” have also been documented.
“Most of the incidents occurred while the perpetrators entered the victims’ homes. The victims reported rape that took place at gunpoint and there were threats of death or other serious harm to the victims or their relatives,” the UN said.
Evidence was also found of the movement of 31 children from Ukraine to Russia in May last year. “The commission concluded that this was an illegal deportation and a war crime.”
It was previously reported that the UN has still found no evidence of genocide in Ukraine.
We remind you that Europol has joined the investigation of crimes in Russia.
