The Crimean bridge now adds a significant burden to Russia’s internal security system, British intelligence officials said.
The Russians had to spend a lot of effort to protect the recently repaired Crimean Bridge. However, this will not give a complete guarantee, because the Ukrainians are very inventive and can still harm it again. About that reported British intelligence on social network X (formerly Twitter).
The ruling regime of the Russian Federation announced that the damage sustained by the bridge as a result of the Ukrainian attack in July of this year was repaired ahead of schedule, but in fact the bridge now has limited functionality.
Trucks and fuel continue to be delivered to Crimea on ferries, and strict security procedures are in place for cars entering the bridge.
The Crimean Bridge now adds a significant burden to Russia’s internal security system, requiring multiple layers of defense, including the use of air defenses, which would otherwise be deployed elsewhere.
“The confidence of the Russian security forces in their ability to protect this large and vulnerable structure is a constant threat to the military intelligence and security services of Ukraine,” British intelligence concluded.
