The Ministry of Education and Science said in which in 2023 the applicants entered the budget the most and in which specialties they set the highest threshold score.
The most popular specialties for applicants to Ukrainian universities in 2023 in a budget way of education are “Computer Science” (more than 30 thousand applications for admission), “Philology” (27.6 thousand) and “Law” ( almost 26 thousand) . This was announced by the Minister of Education Oksen Lisovoy on Wednesday, October 18.
Also included in the top ten most attractive specialties for training are: management, psychology, software engineering, secondary education, marketing, medicine, and cybersecurity.
The top specialties that people entered to study on a budget were led by secondary education (5,425), computer science (3,755) and medicine (3,724).
The maximum threshold score for the budget areas is established for admission through open competitive offers for dentistry (187.120), political science (180.750), international relations, public communication and regional studios (180.500) .
When applying for fixed competitive offers, the highest threshold marks are for biology and biochemistry, international relations and political science.
The department emphasized that in 2023 the state will focus on specialties in engineering, technical, pedagogical and natural sciences.
“After all, it is precisely these specialists who are critically needed for the restoration and support of Ukraine during the war,” said the minister.
