Peskov said that the events in Belgorod did not create comfortable conditions for the resumption of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said in a briefing that Vladimir Putin was informed about the events in Belgorod, where the Rosneft oil depot burned down and two other buildings were damaged. Interfax writes about it.

When asked by journalists if what happened near Belgorod was an escalation of the conflict, Peskov replied: “Of course, this is not something that can be imagined that creates comfortable conditions for continued negotiations.”

At the same time, Peskov decided not to check the airstrike at the oil depot.

“It is not for us in the presidential administration to provide any assessments. It must be done by professionals. The superiority of the air during the operation is an absolute fact, it really is.”, – said the press secretary of the Russian President. Federation.

Recall that in the city of Belgorod of Russia, located near the border with Ukraine, there was a huge fire at the oil depot.

The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said the cause of the fire at the oil depot was allegedly “an airstrike of Ukraine.”
