Israel dealt a heavy blow to Gaza – media

Reuters said that a ground operation should now be expected after this massive missile attack.

On the night of October 16, Israel launched the most powerful attack on the Gaza Strip in the entire war. Now we should expect the start of a ground operation in the enclave, reports Reuters.

“Israel is carrying out the heaviest bombing in Gaza, imposing a strict blockade and preparing a ground offensive,” the media said.

Behind these events, US President Joe Biden called on Israel to respect the laws and customs of war in response to Hamas attacks. In addition, on Sunday, October 15, the American leader said in a post on social networks that “the majority of Palestinians have nothing to do with the terrible attacks of Hamas and are suffering” as a result of the actions of terrorists.

In an interview with CBS 60 Minutes that aired Sunday, Biden also said that Israel must destroy Hamas but warned that it would be a mistake for Israel to occupy Gaza.

The media added that fuel reserves in all hospitals in the Gaza Strip will last about 24 hours. This puts thousands of patients at risk.

Authorities in Gaza say retaliatory strikes against Israel have killed at least 2,670 people, a quarter of them children. In addition, almost 10 thousand were injured. Another 1,000 people are still missing, likely trapped under the rubble.

We remind you that the Israeli army announced the killing of a senior Hamas commander, Muetaz Eid, in the Gaza Strip.
