Some Russian military bloggers, despite heavy losses, continue to praise the offensive efforts of the Russian Armed Forces.
The Russian information space is divided into two camps regarding the situation near Avdeevka. However, from the posts of some military bloggers, it can be concluded that the Russian Federation is facing some serious problems in its attack on the city. This is stated in a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Russian sources indicated that Russia’s problems with medical supplies are hindering progress in the Avdeevka area: there are not enough surgeons in occupied Gorlovka and Donetsk near Avdeevka and called on Russian doctors to ” go to the front.”
The representative of the Tauride group of troops of Ukraine, Colonel Alexander Shtupun, said on October 14 that most of the losses of the Russians in the direction of Avdiivka were caused by poor quality medical care and the occupancy of local hospitals.
Some Russian military bloggers continue to praise Russia’s offensive efforts on October 13 and 14 and repeat the Kremlin’s desired ideology that the Ukrainian counteroffensive is supposedly “over,” said ISW.
A Russian military blogger warned that Russian officials and sources were quick to declare that the Ukrainian counteroffensive was “over” and noted that it was too early to determine whether Russian attacks near Avdiivka would escalate into an organized offensive operation.
Let’s recall that ISW earlier reported that Russian troops near Avdiivka, Donetsk region, were suffering heavy losses. In particular, the georeferenced footage shows that Russian troops lost an amount of armored vehicles equivalent to one battalion of a tactical group.
