The corresponding agreement was reached after negotiations involving Egypt, Israel and the United States. Foreigners living in Gaza will be able to pass through the Rafah border crossing into Egypt. The Israel Defense Forces agreed to refrain from striking areas through which foreigners are being evacuated. This was reported by the Times of Israel, citing an unnamed Egyptian official.
Another Egyptian official said Egypt’s Rafah crossing had already received “instructions” to allow foreigners arriving from the Gaza Strip to pass through.
However, the American television channel CNN and the British BBC report that only foreigners holding a passport of citizens of the United States of America were supposedly allowed to leave. However, whether this information is reliable is still unknown. Both CNN and the BBC quoted an unnamed US State Department official as saying that “Americans will be able to leave.”
Let us remind you that the IDF warned that it would continue attacks on targets of the terrorist organization Hamas, and called on civilians to evacuate within 24 hours. The European Union has already stated that it is impossible to resettle a million people in 24 hours.
