The Russian dictator also said that Armenia is “not leaving the CIS anywhere,” and the prime minister of Armenia may go to Russia later, because now he “doesn’t have time to travel.”
Armenia is “not leaving anywhere” from the CIS, despite the fact that the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan did not come to the CIS summit. Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters about this, TASS wrote.
Putin recalled that in 2023, the economic growth of the European Union will be relatively low – only 0.5% due to the countries of the south, while the economies of the CIS countries will grow by more than 2%.
“Of course, the general level of development is clear, there are no questions here, I have already said about the advantages of the eurozone, it is clear, but our trend is still more positive. Therefore, why deny it? This is simply pointless,” Putin argued.
The main reason for this, said the Russian dictator, is that the CIS countries are united by the only infrastructure they inherited from the USSR.
“We are united by the complementarity of the entire industry, we are united by a personnel training system that is almost identical in structure. There are so many circumstances that increase the competitiveness of each individual economy,” Putin said.
Putin suggested that he visit Armenia after the situation in the country normalizes, and Pashinyan may visit the Russian Federation, but “he does not have time to travel now.”
It was previously reported that the Kremlin has new questions for Armenia.
